With more than 25 years working as a professional architectural lighting designer, Ms. Taylor is the head of the lighting design studio in the New York City office of WSP Lighting Design.  Melanie’s work includes large-scale transportation projects, commercial campuses, complex healthcare institutions, high-end hospitality, dynamic civic locations and lighting for urban neighborhoods.  A leader in the lighting design field, she has contributed to multiple IIDA award-winning projects. Melanie was an instructor of two quarterly lighting design courses at the Seattle Art Institute. She also co-presented a full-day workshop on LEED, Lighting and Sustainability at Lightfair, and is a steering committee member and judge for the Next Generation Luminaire Competition.
